About the Department
The Assistant Men's Basketball Coach- 1st Assistant is responsible for assisting Head Men's Basketball Coach in all phases of building and maintaining a successful men's basketball program. This is a part-time seasonal position.
*This position coaches the Gloucester Campus Roadrunners*
Position Duties
- Recruitment of potential student-athletes
- Practice preparation
- In and out-of season training
- Game/match day management
- Retention of quality student-athletes
- Ensure the success and safety of student athletes on and off the field
- Adherence to all NJCAA, Region 19, RCGC and Athletic Department rules and regulations
- Assist the Head Coach with fundraising and development of alumni and community relations
- Ability to be a team player within the Athletics Department and the College
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Executive Director of Athletics
Minimum Qualifications
- Past playing and/or coaching experience in the sport of basketball is required.
- Associate degree required
- Valid driver's license, which is currently in good standing
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Possess the ability to work well and communicate effectively with prospective and current students, staff, faculty, administration, colleagues, and community partners
