About the role

General Responsibilities

  • Use guest names whenever appropriate
  • Has a good knowledge of different types of rooms, resorts facilities, hours of restaurant

the operation, any special functions, and events to held in the resort

  • Aware of our city/destination, places of interest, shopping areas

Specific Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation (Mise-en-Place) of an outlet for service including:
  • Cleaning of restaurant equipment
  • Receiving and storage of goods/supplies
  • Cleaning and maintaining glassware for service
  • Cleaning and maintain flatware for service
  • Cleaning and maintain chinaware for service
  • Preparing the side stations
  • Preparing buffet for service
  • Preparing service equipment and materials
  • Assisting with table preparation
  • Greets guests and presents them with the menu
  • Suggest food and beverages to the guest and upsell items whilst taking the order
  • Pickup and serve beverages as per the guest order
  • Take food and beverage orders from the guest and key the order in the Point of sale (POS) system

ensuring entering the special requirements made by the guest whilst ordering the food eg: no

Garlic, less spicy, etc.

  • Co-ordinate with the bus person, kitchen staff, bar staff to ensure smooth operation and guest

satisfaction

  • Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs,

offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses

  • Help other areas of the restaurant such as answering telephones and completing financial

transactions

  • Maintain hygienic standards and procedures
  • Assist with the preparation of functions and service
  • Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships
  • Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled
  • Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the menu, including daily specials
  • Maintain current information on all general activities of the hotel
  • Deliver Food and Beverage service of a high standard and in accordance with departmental

standards and procedures

  • Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest concerns or positive comments and

other relevant information

  • Responsible for achieving a score of 90% in RENARD audit for Restaurant, Bar, IRD & Banquet

operations and take necessary action for the shortcomings for standard compliance

  • Carry out any reasonable duties as instructed by an Executive or Manager
