Job Summary: Journeyman Millwrights will safely and effectively perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities at the Medford MDF plant.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work safely and effectively in a team environment
  • Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs or adjustments to improve operation
  • Assist with planning repair work using drawings, equipment manuals or field research
  • Perform precision repairs on mill equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and activities (lubrication and preventative maintenance plans) on mill equipment and building systems as required to ensure reliability of the operation
  • Clean and assist with upkeep of the mill facility
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Consistent and predictable attendance
  • Ability and willingness to cross-train into new jobs and skills
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing shift configuration (24/7)
  • Ability to follow instructions and interpret drawings
  • Knowledge of maintenance practices and repair
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills

 

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of CMMS
  • Knowledge of Precision Maintenance techniques, mechanical and/or electrical and instrumentatio

 

Experience:

  • 4+ years experience as a Millwright in a production environment

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
