Role Description The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay for all guests. Day-to-day tasks include cleaning and preparing rooms, changing linens, replenishing amenities, handling laundry items related to guest rooms, and reporting maintenance issues or safety concerns. The role also involves responding to guest requests in a courteous manner, coordinating with the housekeeping team, and following hotel hygiene and safety protocols. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Kowju Airport Hotel Calicut in Kozhikode.
Qualifications
- Strong housekeeping skills, including clean rooms practices and attention to detail in maintaining hygiene and presentation.
- Experience with laundry handling, including sorting, cleaning, and proper care of linens and guest textiles.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Ability to follow hotel procedures, safety and sanitation standards, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior 1 year experience in hotel housekeeping or a similar role is preferred.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required for room cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to understand instructions, room assignments, and inventory records.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on hotel operations.
