Roku Developer – Job Description

We are looking for a Roku Developer with hands-on experience in building and maintaining Roku TV applications for OTT and streaming platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Roku channels using BrightScript and SceneGraph UI framework
• Build user-friendly and high-performance TV interfaces for Roku devices
• Integrate REST APIs and handle JSON data for content, user flows, and playback
• Implement and support video playback, including live and on-demand content
• Test and debug applications across multiple Roku hardware models
• Identify and fix performance, UI, and playback issues
• Work closely with backend, QA, and product teams to deliver stable releases

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Roku development, BrightScript, and SceneGraph
• Solid understanding of SceneGraph UI patterns
• Experience working with REST APIs and JSON data
• Familiarity with video playback workflows on Roku
• Experience testing and debugging on different Roku devices
• Good problem-solving and debugging skills

Good to Have

• Experience working on OTT / streaming platforms
• Understanding of media players, DRM, and streaming protocols
• Experience with performance optimization for TV applications
