Job Summary

Creekside Post Acute is seeking a dependable and hardworking Maintenance Assistant to support the daily operations and upkeep of our skilled nursing and post-acute care facility. The ideal candidate is hands-on, responsive, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general building maintenance and repairs
• Perform routine inspections of facility equipment and systems
• Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Support preventative maintenance programs
• Maintain grounds, walkways, and common areas
• Assist with painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC-related tasks as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and infection control standards
• Help set up and move furniture or equipment for events and resident needs
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or facility experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair work
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Reliable attendance and positive teamwork attitude
• Experience in healthcare or skilled nursing settings is a plus
