As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. With a minimum of 3 years of experience, you will leverage your expertise to meticulously test applications, identify and document defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be key in maintaining the integrity and performance of our applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate proactively in standup meetings, sprint planning, story grooming sessions, team retrospectives, and implementing improvements.
- Interacting with business teams on initiatives and how they should be approached from a testing standpoint.
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
- Ensure coverage of functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Develop test cases, scenarios, and scripts based on user stories, business requirements, and technical specifications.
- Perform manual testing to identify defects, ensure application functionality, and validate that requirements are met.
- Execute tests in different environments and across various platforms to ensure compatibility and responsiveness.
- Identify, log, and track software defects.
- Provide detailed descriptions, steps to reproduce, and severity assessments for identified issues.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and communicate testing progress and results.
- Generate and present test reports to stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations for improvement.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 3-10 years’ experience with manual testing
- Strong English speaking and writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or similar technical discipline
- Typically requires 3-10 years of related experience.
- Experience in systems development lifecycle.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Hand-on experience in manual testing Web-Based, Desktop-Based and SAP Applications.
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements.
- Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies.
- Ability to partner with multiple stakeholders and influence project decisions.
- Strong teamwork, customer service and organizational skills.
- Certification in automation testing tools like Tosca are preferred. Any other certification is a plus.
- Familiar with Data Integrity testing including experience with database technologies, query building (DAX, MDX, SQL), ETL concepts, cloud-based data solutions, and business intelligence solutions.
- Good to have knowledge in Tosca Data Integrity and qTest.
