School Social Worker

Rochester Academy Charter School is currently seeking a School Social Worker for the 2025-2026 school year.  Several qualifications will be considered: New York State certification in School Social Work (preferred with additional salary); LMSW, LCSW, or similar qualifications and/ or out-of-State certification will be considered.  Experience is preferred but not required.  

 

Job responsibilities categories include (but are not limited to):

• Leading and supervising 1:1 and group counseling for students with IEPs and 504s
• Leading and supervising 1:1 and group counseling to support student who express mental or behavioral health needs
• Offering drop-in counseling and on the spot mediation services
• Connecting students and families with community resources
• Supporting families struggling with housing insecurity 
• Hosting and planning for staff professional learning around topics specific to Social Emotional Learning 
• Small student population of around 200 students
