The STEM & Robotics Lab Faculty member will design, deliver, and manage hands-on STEM and robotics curriculum for students, fostering skills in coding, engineering design, electronics, and computational thinking. The role includes managing the lab space, equipment, and student projects while integrating STEM concepts across grade levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging STEM and Robotics lessons (coding, electronics, mechanical design, AI basics, IoT, etc.) aligned with age-appropriate curriculum frameworks
- Manage and maintain the STEM/Robotics lab, including kits (e.g., LEGO Mindstorms/Spike, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, micro:bit), tools, and inventory
- Mentor students for robotics competitions (e.g., FLL, WRO, VEX) and science/tech fairs
- Design project-based learning modules integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math
- Assess student progress and maintain records of lab activities and achievements
- Collaborate with subject teachers to integrate STEM concepts into regular curriculum
- Ensure lab safety protocols and proper handling of equipment
- Organize STEM exhibitions, workshops, and parent demonstration sessions
- Stay updated with emerging technologies (AI, IoT, 3D printing, automation) and incorporate them into teaching
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Robotics, or related field (B.Ed. preferred but not mandatory)
- 2+ years of experience teaching STEM/Robotics, coding, or related subjects (school or ed-tech environment preferred)
- Hands-on experience with robotics platforms (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, LEGO Robotics, micro:bit, etc.)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Scratch, Python, C++, or block-based coding tools
- Strong understanding of electronics, sensors, and mechanical design basics
