About The Role
We’re building the next generation of intelligent hardware at
Fynd Robotics, and we’re looking for a
Robotics Embedded Engineer who thrives at the intersection of hardware design and embedded firmware. You’ll take complete ownership of our embedded systems—from schematics and board design to real-time firmware and system validation. If you're an engineer who can go from breadboard to production-ready PCBs
and write the firmware that runs on them, this role is tailored for you.
What will you do at Fynd?
- Define and own the electronics architecture for robotics and consumer electronics products—from early concept to production-ready hardware.
- Design and review circuits and schematics: power (DC-DC/LDOs), signal conditioning, sensor interfaces, protection, and digital logic as needed.
- Create PCB layouts (multi-layer as required), manage stack-ups, component placement, routing, and production outputs using KiCad or other professional EDA tools.
- Drive rapid prototyping: bring-up boards, validate subsystems, iterate quickly, and support assembly/debug on the bench.
- Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers and embedded systems, including RTOS-based applications (FreeRTOS / Zephyr).
- Interface and integrate peripherals using common protocols: SPI, I2C, UART, USB, CAN, RS232 (and others as required).
- Work hands-on on board bring-up and debugging using lab equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter, power supplies, etc.).
- Perform firmware and hardware debugging and root-cause analysis, improving system reliability, performance, and manufacturability.
- Write and review clean, maintainable embedded code; participate in code reviews, testing strategy, and release practices.
- Produce and maintain documentation: schematics, layout notes, BOMs, firmware architecture, bring-up checklists, and test procedures.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (mechanical, firmware, ops, sourcing, manufacturing) to ensure smooth integration, DFM, and successful builds
Some Specific Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ yearsof experience spanning hardware design + embedded firmware (board-to-firmware ownership mindset).
- Strong understanding of electronics and electrical systems, including hardware architectures and practical design trade-offs.
Solid Experience In
- Circuit design (analog + digital fundamentals, power basics, protection, interfacing)
- PCB design (schematic → layout → fabrication outputs) using KiCad or similar tools
- Microcontrollers and embedded systems, with experience onSTM32, ESP32, and other mainstream chips
- RTOS development using FreeRTOS and/or Zephyr (tasks, interrupts, timing, concurrency basics)
- Communication protocols such as SPI, CAN, USB, I2C, UART, RS232
- Hands-on comfort with prototyping, board bring-up, and bench debugging.
- Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and a bias toward execution.
- Ability to work onsite in Mumbai, 5 days a week
