Purpose & Scope of The Position:  

Troubleshooting, repairing and rebuilding crushers, SAG and ball mills, conveyors, belt feeders, hydraulic systems, pumps, and pipefitting. Candidates must demonstrate an ability and desire to upgrade skills and knowledge using on-the-job experience as well as off-the-job studies, as needed. Candidates must be multi-tasked, including assisting maintenance technicians as required. Preserve personal safety and the safety of coworkers. Learn new things and teach others, so that we can improve as individuals and as a team. Perform other functions as assigned by the supervisor while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect KGHM’s values.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:  

• Follow safe work procedures and best practices.
• Be a role model to others in safe behavior.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Availability to work Crusher & Mill outages.
• Actively engage in learning the Crushing circuit.
• Work to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Assist Maintenance Technicians in identifying & remediating mechanical issues.
• Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.

Required Education, Work Experience & Training:

• A valid Driver’s License. 
• A High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education, Work Experience & Training:

• Minimum of three (3) years related experience in Mill Maintenance.  
• Basic competency in personal computer operation. 
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to learn new software.

Technical Skills:

• Good written and verbal skills.
• Positive attitude.
• Ability to prioritize, self-start and work under limited supervision.
• Strong Mechanical abilities.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, service manuals and parts books.
• Ability to operate all shop tools and equipment.
• Ability to use atmospheric testing equipment (MX4).

Additional Requirements: 

• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to meet the required physical demands, including exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly.
