About the role

We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a ServiceNOW Developer role in Sacramento, California. This role will primarily focus on the software engineering function, which includes designing, developing, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for enhancements and new software-intensive systems and products. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and test software-intensive systems and products. • Troubleshoot and debug software programs to ensure smooth operations. • Collaborate with internal experts to develop technical solutions. • Apply appropriate principles, standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle. • Analyze hardware compatibility and develop software products and tools used for design, development, and maintenance of infrastructure and platforms. • Communicate effectively with internal and client project team members. • Influence team members regarding solution design, process, and/or approaches. • Coach and review the work of lower-level technical staff. • Understand and apply principles, theories, and concepts of technical domain while having a broad understanding of other related specialty areas. • Manage day-to-day objectives with significant impact on operational results or project deliverables. Basic Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. ServiceNow Expertise: Proficiency in developing and configuring ServiceNow across multiple modules. Experience unit testing and troubleshooting custom applications. Agile & ITIL Knowledge: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and ITIL concepts. Organizational Skills: Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a highly matrixed organization. Key Skills: Attention to detail and thoroughness in implementation. Strong customer service orientation and teamwork skills, working collaboratively with clients and vendors. Exceptional communication skills to convey technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively. Problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities for risk identification and solution development. Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOJ Public Trust clearance.
