| Education | Required: Education equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by college courses in therapeutic recreation, psychology, special education or a related field. Preferred: Associates Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field. |
| Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | - Comprehensive knowledge of administrative and office procedures
- Comprehensive knowledge of Therapeutic Recreation
- Ability to constructively participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreation programs for adults with disabilities that may include; development/intellectual, head injury related, mobility, mental health/psychiatric, or visual impairments
- Ability to complete objective documentation
- Ability to use assessment tools to create appropriate goals and objectives for participants and programs
- Ability to direct the activities of other employees
- Ability to gather, organize and report information
- Ability to work in a demanding work environment requiring teamwork
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to follow operating procedures and maintain confidentiality
- Skill and proficiency in the use of computer hardware and software suchas Microsoft programs: Excel, Word, Publisher, and Power Point
