The Line Technician is responsible for the safe, sanitary, and efficient operation of a chocolate molding line. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, maintaining operational standards, and supporting production goals through monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing changeovers as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
· Temper chocolate to meet required specifications and ensure product consistency.
· Set, verify, adjust weights and operate metal detection equipment.
· Monitor the production line and assist with troubleshooting to resolve operational issues.
· Accurately complete and maintain the required production documentation and quality records.
· Conduct product inspections and perform quality control checks.
· Execute and support sanitation, housekeeping, and proper waste disposal procedures, including animal feed handling.
· Lead and participate in line changeovers to support production efficiency.
· Report any food safety or quality concerns immediately to management.
· Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors or designated team leaders.
· The worker is responsible for performing housekeeping, sanitation tasks, and proper waste disposal methods as required.
· Worker MUST report any food safety issues and concerns to management.
Qualifications:
· Intermediate mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
· Basic to intermediate computer proficiency.
· Knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and sanitation standards.
· Strong work ethic with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
· Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is required.
· Food manufacturing experience is preferred.
· Chocolate molding lines, pumps, conveyor platforms (manual and hydraulic), hand tools (scrapers, spatulas, sticks), step ladders, and various quality control instruments.
· Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, and reaching.
· Climbing ladders and working on elevated platforms.
· Lifting and carrying items up to 40 lbs.
· Use of hands for fine motor tasks and handling equipment.
· Visual and auditory acuity required for equipment monitoring and communication.
