Two openings, one on 1st shift and one on 2nd shift. Ritz offers a shift differential for employees on 2nd shift, an additional $0.59 per hour on top of the base rate.
Reporting to the HV Operations Manager, this position is responsible in supporting the HV test lab.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Electrical testing of transformers
- Set up of equipment
- Connecting devices
- Improve testing procedures
- Create and Amend Working Procedures for the testing processes
- Capture test data into formal reports
- Perform regular PM maintenance
- Support diagnosing problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Comply with governing standards for test and product performance including all relevant IEEE, IEC, ISO, and CSA standards
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
- The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required
- Safety focused
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of material and product up to 70 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: safety glasses and steel toe shoes, loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted. Hair that touches the shoulder must be pinned up so as not to touch the shoulder.
