Primes & Zooms (P&Z) rents out hobbyist as well as professional photography and videography gear such
as cameras, lenses, lighting, stabilizers, and more to photographers, filmmakers, and content creators
across Pune and Mumbai. We've built a large and growing customer base and a substantial inventory of
high-value equipment, and every single rental depends on one thing: knowing exactly who we're handing
that gear to. That's where this role comes in.
THE ROLE
As a Risk & Trust Associate, you will be the person standing between P&Z's inventory and anyone trying to commit fraud. You will verify who our customers really are, check that their documents are genuine, and spot the small inconsistencies that separate a legitimate renter from a potential fraudster. This is detail work, requiring judgement and observation and detection skills. If you've ever caught a mistake everyone else missed, or sensed something was 'off' before you could explain why, this job will feel familiar.
WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY DO
• Conduct KYC checks on new and existing customers — verifying ID proofs, address proofs, and
business documents.
• Check documents for authenticity: spotting impersonation, tampering, mismatches, or red flags.
• Verify customer credentials and rental history before high-value equipment goes out of the office.
• Flag unusual or suspicious booking patterns.
• Coordinate with the operations team to hold, question, or decline bookings that don't pass scrutiny.
• Help refine and tighten P&Z's fraud-prevention process as the business scales.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
This role is part of a return ship-style opening at P&Z, designed for professionals — particularly women in
their mid-30s and beyond — who've taken a career break and are looking to step back into structured,
meaningful work. We care about judgement and reliability far more than an unbroken resume.
• Comfortable with documents, detail, and process — an eye that catches what others skim past.
• Prior experience in banking, KYC/AML, compliance, back-office verification, or similar is a strong
plus, but not mandatory.
• Confident communicator, comfortable asking a customer a direct, polite question when something
doesn't add up.
• Basic comfort with spreadsheets office applications; we'll train you on our specific tools and
checklists.
• Reliable, discreet, and calm when dealing with the occasional pushy customer.

Location: Our Pune office (with coordination across our Pune and Mumbai operations)
Type: Full-time, On-site
Compensation Range: Rs 20000 – 40000 per month as per fit to the role
