Job OverviewDigital Defense is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Risk & Compliance Analyst to join our fully remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security risks while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen our security posture and support ongoing compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, assess, and document cybersecurity risks across systems and processes
- Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR)
- Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance audits
- Develop and maintain risk management frameworks and documentation
- Collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to implement risk mitigation strategies
- Track and report on compliance status, risks, and remediation efforts
- Support incident response and ensure compliance-related actions are taken
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, laws, and compliance standards
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Business, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or cybersecurity
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, or SOC 2
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Qualifications- Certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor
- Experience with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) tools
- Knowledge of cloud security and data protection practices
