About the role

As a Data Engineer at Rippling, you'll be responsible for building reliable, scalable, and performant data pipelines that power our analytics and reporting. You'll work closely with our product, engineering, and analytics teams to understand their data needs and design optimal solutions. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our data infrastructure and drive strategic decisions with data insights. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing and implementing end-to-end data pipelines to ingest, process, and store data from various sources - Maintaining and optimizing our data warehouse, leveraging tools like Snowflake, Airflow, and dbt - Developing custom ETL/ELT workflows, data models, and dashboards to support business intelligence and analytics - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and translate them into technical solutions - Continuously improving data quality, reliability, and security - Staying up-to-date with the latest data engineering tools and best practices Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role - Proficient in Python, SQL, and modern data engineering tools and frameworks (e.g., Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake) - Experience with cloud-based data infrastructure, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure - Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts - Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and best practices - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail - Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
