CDL Driver – Duties and Responsibilities

Riley Industrial Services is seeking a dependable Class A CDL Driver to safely transport equipment between all company locations. This position requires travel, a valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely gather, organize, and load equipment and materials in a manner that protects cargo and maximizes efficiency
• Transport equipment between company locations while adhering to all federal, state, and local traffic laws
• Operate vehicles in a safe, professional, and courteous manner at all times
• Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles and cargo are safe, compliant, and in proper working condition
• Accurately log miles, hours of service, and other required documentation to maintain DOT and regulatory compliance
• Manage fueling needs and ensure assigned vehicles remain properly fueled
• Utilize GPS systems and company-provided in-field technology to plan routes and ensure timely deliveries

Requirements of the CDL-A or B Truck drivers with tanker endorsement:

• Valid CDL-A or B license with tanker endorsement
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana)
• At least 21 years old, with one year of driving experience
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 80 lbs
• Willingness to travel as needed
