The Rig Safety Officer - Workover Rig is a full-time, on-site position based in Gujarat woth rotationof 28 day ON / 28 OFF DUTY. The role involves overseeing and ensuring the implementation of SGD safety practices and policies during drilling operations on workover rigs. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, providing safety training to personnel, investigating accidents or incidents, promoting a culture of workplace safety, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Rig Safety Officer will work closely with team members to create and maintain a safe and secure working environment.
Qualifications
- Health & Safety and Occupational Health expertise in Workover Rigs.
- Experience in Accident Investigation and Safety Training
- Knowledge of Security protocols and best practices on-site
- Ability to effectively monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying risks and recommending solutions
- Relevant certifications in safety management, such as NEBOSH or OSHA certifications, are advantageous
- Bachelor Degree in Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred / BSc.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills to guide and educate teams on-site
