About the role
We are looking for an individual to join our team for a 1-year temporary assignment while we implement a new ERP system.
Core Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule
- Review and verify timecards, hours worked, and pay premiums
- Enter and maintain employee payroll data in HRIS/payroll systems
- Handle wage garnishments, deductions, reimbursements, and special pay items
- Audit payroll reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Support year-end tasks per year end task list
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally and promptly
- Provide payroll related reports and data as requested to include regulatory reporting.
- Reconcile payroll data to the vendor to ensure accuracy as well as ensuring employees are not going over IRS/RMC limits
- Balance/report/pay all payroll taxes
- Prepare, balance and report all quarter end and year end reporting such as 941’s and W-2’s
- Assist with all internal and external audits.
- Data clean up and review
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with payroll processing (UKG Dimensions preferred)
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work with confidential information
- Strong Excel and data-entry skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
