Role Description The Rider role at Shadowfax is a full-time, on-site position based in Shaikpet. Riders are responsible for picking up and delivering packages safely and on time, following assigned routes and delivery schedules. Day-to-day tasks include verifying order details, maintaining communication with the local hub or supervisor, and using mobile applications for navigation and delivery confirmation. Riders are expected to handle parcels with care, follow traffic and safety regulations, and provide a courteous experience to customers at the point of delivery. The role may also involve basic documentation, cash or digital payment handling when required, and reporting any delivery issues or delays promptly.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong navigation and route-planning abilities, including familiarity with local Shaikpet areas and the use of smartphone-based maps or delivery apps.
- Candidates should possess safe driving or riding skills, a valid driving license for two-wheeler or appropriate vehicle, and adherence to traffic and road safety rules.
- Candidates should possess basic communication and customer service skills to interact politely with customers and coordinate effectively with supervisors and hub staff.
- Candidates should possess time management and reliability skills, including the ability to manage multiple deliveries, meet deadlines, and maintain punctuality.
- Candidates should possess physical stamina sufficient for extended riding and handling packages throughout the workday.
- Relevant qualifications such as previous delivery or logistics experience, familiarity with last-mile operations, and basic smartphone literacy are beneficial.
- Ability to read and understand delivery instructions in English or local language, and willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and peak hours is preferred.
