Building upon Richemont's top-ranking Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) achievements, the Group has developed a risk-based approach to manage its business responsibly and has continued to embed its ESG Management System within the business. The Sustainability Manager will support the Head of Sustainability with the execution of the strategy through actionable ESG solutions, compliance measures, Group, Maison and Regional projects, Maison focused downstream solutions, research on emerging ESG topics, and employee engagement. The role will report to the Head of Sustainability in the Americas Region (the U.S., Canada, Brazil, and Mexico) to enhance the organizations resilience, reputation and long-term value creation. Responsibilities ESG Management System The Manager supports the Head of Sustainability in driving the region's Sustainability Framework strategy to achieve compliance-ready, auditable ESG targets and reporting preparedness in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards and government mandated disclosure requirements. Supports the continuous review and strengthening of materiality priorities and consolidation efforts, alignment and processes enhancements related to the company's due diligence and remediation priorities for the region. Ensures reputational integrity by formalizing the regulatory monitoring process for the Americas and maintains a map of global ESG reporting requirements and regional reporting obligations in US, Canada, Mexico and Brazil. Conducts research and quantitative analysis, producing presentations for internal use to contribute to the development and execution of ESG compliance processes, data analytics, and reporting on ESG regulations. Assists with the implementation of strategies and programs, working collaboratively with key internal stakeholders (Maisons and Functions) to facilitate appropriate impact risk assessments, gap analysis and to ensure implementation requirements are executed according to expectations. Leverages the understanding of external ESG reporting frameworks, compliance standards, indexes and regulations to prepare for evolving stakeholder needs and reporting requirements. Partners with the Head of Sustainability to act as a partner to stakeholders, to embed governance and management actions in alignment with the Americas ESG Management System. ESG Performance Requirements Oversees the social impact strategy and commitment to ethical practices and reputation connected to the supply chain, employee experience and the company's commitment to positively contribute to the communities it operates in, in alignment with compliance requirements. Be the direct partner to Maisons and Functions for social impact due diligence assessments and reviews in adherence to the company's social impact policies and priorities. Partners with Maisons and key stakeholders to adhere to certification system audits required for ESG compliance and investor ratings indexes (e.g., SMETA, Responsible Jewelry Council. Maison operational implementation Supports the development of end-of-life strategies, aligning them with overall sustainability goals for Maisons in the region. Analyzes current operations and supply chains to identify areas for improvement and resource efficiency. Leads stakeholder engagement learning to implement overall downstream solutions that connect with Non-Financial Reporting requirements. Engagement & outreach Ensures consistency of ESG Learning practices. Building training curriculum for various audiences on how to comply with sustainable practices connected to ESG due diligence requirements and Maison support to develop team members on sustainability topics. Monitors emerging reporting trends and standards and communicating and educating others on relevant topics. Supports the development of Laureus programming alignment with the regional social impact strategy and manages the outreach with employees.
