The Role

We are seeking an Energy Market Analyst to join our rapidly expanding Commercial team in London and play a key role in commercialising our product offering.


In this role, you will report to the Business Development Manager and spend some time in the following areas:


Project Economic Modelling

  • Maintain and own the project economic model to take account of different energy use cases and variables, to determine revenue stacks and ROI’s in different markets
  • Interface with engineering teams and suppliers to manage cost model, run scenario analysis
  • Ensure models have intuitive user interface for use by team members. Maintain, and document assumptions rigorously

Market Research and Analysis

  • Conduct research to understand the market landscape, policy considerations and produce concise digestible summaries for the wider team, drawing on visualisations that capture your key insights and recommendations
  • Draw on research to feed into commercial strategy, and business cases underpinning a project

Proposals and Grant Writing

  • Craft convincing narratives using data and insights and present these to internal and external stakeholders
  • Project manage completion of complex proposals

External Networking and Research

  • Attend events and conferences on behalf of the company


About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Exceptional quantitative skills with a degree in either: engineering, maths, physical science, economics, and wants to play a commercial role
  • Excellent technical communication to internal and external stakeholders (written and verbal presentation)
  • Creative problem solving and team player
  • Strong data analysis skills: comfortable manipulating complex data sets and clearly and intuitively displaying results to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel or equivalent.
  • Experience using Python (or another programming language)
  • Keen eye for detail whilst also appreciating the big picture
  • Comfortable in a small team and fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about sustainability and cleantech


We’d also love it if you have:

  • Experience and familiarity with energy dispatch models
  • Understanding of international electricity markets
  • 2 + years relevant industry experience (ideally renewable energy and storage)
  • Languages
