Job Title: eCommerce Data Analyst



Overview: Revision Skincare is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical eCommerce Data Analyst to join our team. As an integral member of our eCommerce department, you will be responsible for analyzing data from our direct-to-consumer website and Amazon platform to provide valuable insights and drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, a deep understanding of eCommerce metrics, and experience working with analytics platforms such as Shopify, Amazon Vendor Central, Polar Analytics and Jungle Scout.


Key Responsibilities:


Data Analysis:

  • Analyze eCommerce data from multiple sources, including website traffic, sales performance, customer behavior, and product trends.
  • Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to visualize key eCommerce metrics and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions or challenges related to eCommerce performance.


Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor the performance of our direct-to-consumer website and Amazon platform, tracking key metrics such as traffic, conversion rates, new customer acquisition, average order value, promotional activity impact, and customer acquisition cost.
  • Identify areas of improvement and potential bottlenecks in the eCommerce funnel, such as checkout abandonment or product page bounce rates.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to understand business objectives and align data analysis efforts accordingly.


Strategic Planning:

  • Collaborate with the eCommerce team to develop data-driven strategies and initiatives to drive sales, increase customer engagement, and improve overall eCommerce performance.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark Revision Skincare's performance against industry peers and identify areas of competitive advantage.
  • Provide recommendations for pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, product assortment, and merchandising based on data insights and market trends.
  • Analyze sales and performance metrics on Amazon Vendor Central, including sales velocity, conversion rate, and customer reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize product listings, pricing strategies, and advertising campaigns to improve visibility and sales performance on the Amazon marketplace
  • Monitor competitor activity on Amazon and leverage data insights to enhance Revision Skincare's positioning and competitiveness.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of analytics experience with at least 1 year focused on eCommerce data analysis, preferably within the beauty or skincare industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, Google Analytics, Polar Analytics, Jungle Scout, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with eCommerce platforms, including Shopify and Amazon Vendor Central.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
