The Team You Will Be a Part Of
Our Design Engineering Team plays a critical role in transforming ideas, reference products, and scanned data into manufacturable engineering solutions. By combining advanced design tools, reverse engineering techniques, and strong manufacturing understanding, we support new product development with speed and precision.
This Role in Summary
As a Reverse Engineer (NPD), you will work closely with senior engineers and product development teams to capture physical product data through scanning, convert scan outputs into accurate CAD models, and support new product development activities. The role requires strong CAD capability, understanding of engineering standards, and knowledge of manufacturing feasibility.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Performing 3D scanning of components and products for reverse engineering applications.
- Converting scan data into workable CAD models using CAD tools such as SolidWorks.
- Preparing detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings with GD&T standards.
- Applying DFM and DFA principles to ensure manufacturable and cost-effective designs.
- Supporting new product development through CAD reconstruction and design modifications.
- Working with plastic and metal manufacturing processes such as injection molding, blow molding, and additive manufacturing (3D printing).
- Conducting basic engineering analysis and design validation where required.
- Managing scan data cleanup, surface reconstruction, and parametric model development.
- Supporting tooling and mold-related design activities when required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience: 1–4 years in reverse engineering / product design / CAD development
- Software Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks
- Location: Bengaluru
- Joining: Immediate
Preferred Skills and Experiences:
- Hands-on experience in 3D scanning and mesh processing
- Strong understanding of drafting standards and GD&T
- Knowledge of material properties and strength of components
- Exposure to plastic and metal product development
- Experience in mould/tool design will be considered an added advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
