Job description:
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Developing pricing strategies, including building rates for rooms and packages and determining discounts and specialty rates
- Forecasting pricing and revenue based on demand and market trends
- Evaluating trends in the economy and hospitality industry
- Creating promotional plans to increase revenue
- Understanding inventory management processes
- 3–5+ years of revenue management experience within the hotel/accommodation sector
- Proven experience in the Australian hospitality market
- Generating revenue reports
- Assist in training the revenue team and ensuring success.
- Develop new systems to ensure streamlined process for the business.
Key Performance Indicators:
Create Pricing Strategies
- Creating pricing strategies for clients designed to increase occupancy, maximize the average daily rate and increase yield.
- Pitch strategies and revenue suggestions to clients
Conduct Competition Analyses
- Conduct thorough analysis on pricing trends for clients, identifying key areas of growth and focus on areas of weaknesses.
- Utilize competitive set reporting to benchmark client performance.
Client Management
- Act as the primary revenue contact for assigned clients
- Lead revenue meetings and performance reviews
- Translate complex data into simple, actionable advice
- Build trusted relationships with owners and on-site teams
Non-negotiable skills & requirements:
- 3–5+ years of revenue management experience within the hotel/accommodation sector
- Proven experience in the Australian hospitality market
- Hands-on experience with revenue management systems (e.g., SiteMinder, Duetto, IDeaS, Opera PMS)
- Strong understanding of OTA distribution channels (Booking.com, Expedia, etc.)
- Experience managing multiple properties or client portfolios
- Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills
