Duties and Responsibilities
- Leading & Training – Lead, direct, train, and encourage growth with team members
Duties
- Training – Opportunistic hands-on training and shadowing with team members on the floor
- Procedures & Protocols – Adherence, guidance, and promotion of practice procedures and policies for other team members
- Fill-in – Stepping in to fulfill floor duties when team members are out of office
- Liaison – Leveraging position seniority to act as a liaison between team members, management, and providers
- Ordering – Ensuring accuracy of inventory and placing orders when management is unable to
- Approved Samples – Manage the approved samples list
- Escalation – Address & work escalation matters of clinical concern or patient needs. Escalate to management as appropriate
- Procedure & Protocol – Generation, updates, and feedback of internal procedure and protocol to management
Expectations & Performance Measurements
The Medical Assistant Lead is expected to perform at the level of a Medical Assistant III. In addition to this performance, they are expected to be able to help team members learn and grow their skillsets to effectively complete their duties.
Qualifications
- Certified Dermatology Tech (CDT)
Experience, Skills and Abilities
- Five (5) years dermatology office and or clinical experience (preferred)
- Five (5) years EMR experience (preferred)
- Writing Skills – Ability to write documentation clearly and concisely
