Hiring: Retention Marketing Manager – Lifecycle, CRM & Cohort Growth

About Us
We are building a multi-brand digital ecosystem across astrology, spirituality, education, commerce, and app experiences. Our portfolio includes Astro Arun Pandit, GemsMantra, Occult Gurukul, and Horocosmo, across app and web journeys.
We are looking for a Retention Marketing Manager who understands one thing clearly: growth does not come only from acquisition. It comes from keeping users active, increasing repeat behavior, improving conversion across journeys, and building systems that compound.
Role Overview
This is not a basic CRM role.
We want someone who has worked deeply on retention, lifecycle marketing, user journeys, cohorts, segmentation, funnels, reactivation, and repeat revenue, and has a proven track record of improving user behavior across app and website businesses.
You should be strong in both strategy and execution and should know how to work closely with product, marketing, tech, and analytics teams to build retention-led growth engines.
What You’ll Own
- Build and scale retention strategy across all brands and funnels in the ecosystem
- Create and optimize user journeys across app, website, leads, buyers, learners, repeat users, dormant users, and high-value cohorts
- Own lifecycle communication across push, WhatsApp, email, SMS, in-app, and other relevant channels
- Build advanced cohorts, segments, and behavioral triggers based on user actions, purchase behavior, engagement, inactivity, and lifecycle stage
- Analyze funnels deeply and identify drop-offs across onboarding, activation, repeat purchase, course completion, consultation re-booking, cart recovery, app re-engagement, and subscription behavior
- Work closely with product teams to identify and build retention-led features, nudges, habit loops, reminders, reward systems, and engagement mechanics
- Partner with creative and content teams to improve messaging relevance, timing, offer strategy, and conversion quality
- Build dashboards and reporting for retention performance with clear action points, not just campaign reports
- Run A/B tests across journeys, triggers, messaging, incentives, timings, and channel mix
- Improve LTV, repeat rate, activation, reactivation, churn reduction, and engagement depth
What We’re Looking For
- 4 to 8+ years of strong experience in retention marketing, CRM, lifecycle marketing, or growth retention
- Proven experience across app + website ecosystems
- Strong hands-on expertise in CleverTap is mandatory
- Deep understanding of journey building, event tracking logic, cohort analysis, segmentation, funnel analysis, experimentation, and behavioral messaging
- Strong experience working with product teams to shape retention-focused product features and user flows
- Comfortable handling large-scale user data and converting insights into action
- Strong analytical mindset with working understanding of metrics like retention, activation, DAU/MAU, repeat purchase rate, LTV, churn, reactivation, cohort performance, and conversion by segment
- Experience in consumer internet, app businesses, D2C, edtech, content, or high-frequency digital products is strongly preferred
Preferred
- Experience across both transactional and engagement-led businesses
- Experience with course funnels, commerce journeys, app reactivation, and consultation or service-led retention
- Ability to think beyond campaigns and influence product, funnels, and monetization systems
- Proven examples of retention wins with actual numbers
