Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Retail Trainer with a strong background in the jewelry industry to lead Learning & Development initiatives across our retail stores. The role focuses on building capability within store teams through structured training programs, ensuring consistent brand experience, and driving overall team effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement structured training programs for retail teams
- Deliver induction, on-the-job, and refresher training sessions across store locations
- Create and update training content, modules, manuals, and SOPs aligned with brand standards
- Conduct product training with a focus on diamonds, gemstones, and lab-grown jewelry
- Drive capability building in areas such as customer experience, communication, and retail excellence
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance tracking
- Identify training needs in collaboration with HR and retail leadership
- Coach and mentor store teams to enhance overall performance and consistency
- Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and service standards across all stores
- Contribute to overall sales improvement by delivering targeted training programs that enhance team performance and customer experience
Requirements
- Graduate / MBA / Postgraduate in any relevant field
- 3–6 years of experience in Training & Development within the jewelry retail industry
- Strong understanding of diamonds and preferably lab-grown diamonds
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills
- Experience in content creation and training delivery
- Willingness to travel across store locations
Preferred Skills
- Certification in Training & Development, Learning & Development (L&D), or Gemology (added advantage)
- Strong expertise in adult learning principles and training methodologies
- Proven ability to design and deliver impactful learning interventions
- Experience in evaluating training effectiveness and driving continuous improvement
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
