Role Description The Retail Salesperson is a full-time, on-site role based in Kangeyam. In this position, the team member welcomes customers, understands their needs, and recommends suitable mattresses, carpets, and rugs. Daily tasks include explaining product features and benefits, demonstrating various models, and guiding customers through pricing, promotions, and payment options. The role also involves maintaining a clean and organized showroom, managing basic inventory checks, and supporting visual merchandising. The Retail Salesperson is expected to build positive customer relationships, assist with after-sales inquiries, and contribute to achieving store sales targets.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Retail Sales and Sales skills, with the ability to meet targets and close transactions responsibly.
- Candidates should possess solid Product Knowledge related to mattresses, carpets, and rugs, and a willingness to learn about new brands and features.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to engage customers, listen actively, and provide clear, helpful information.
- Prior experience in retail, furniture, or home décor sales is beneficial.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and move products safely as required.
- Basic math skills and comfort using point-of-sale systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in retail or sales is an advantage.
- Reliability, integrity, and a customer-focused attitude.
