Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Retail Sales Executive role based in Ernakulam. The Retail Sales Executive will welcome customers, understand their needs, and recommend suitable pet products and grooming services. Day-to-day responsibilities include explaining product features and benefits, managing sales transactions, handling billing and cash/online payments, and ensuring shelves and displays are well-stocked and visually appealing. The role involves providing courteous, informed customer service, addressing questions and concerns, and building long-term relationships with pet parents. The Retail Sales Executive will also support store promotions, maintain basic inventory records, coordinate with the grooming team for appointments, and help keep the store clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Retail Sales and Sales skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and close transactions effectively.
- Proven Customer Service and Relationship Building skills to create positive experiences and encourage repeat visits.
- Clear and confident Communication skills, including the ability to explain product features and grooming services in simple terms.
- Interest in pets and pet care, with willingness to learn about products, dietary needs, and grooming solutions.
- Prior experience in retail, pet stores, or service-oriented environments is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic math and POS handling skills, with attention to accuracy in billing and cash/online transactions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, manage peak-hour crowds, and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Minimum high school diploma; additional training in retail, sales, or customer service is an advantage.
