Operations Manager — Suit Lounge
The Role
The Operations Manager owns daily execution across admin, finance, vendors, and staff — and is directly accountable for ensuring every team member and vendor follows established systems and SOPs without exception. This is not a passive coordination role. It demands authority in delegation, rigour in follow-up, and zero tolerance for process deviation.
Responsibilities
- Systems & SOP Enforcement — Monitor and enforce adherence to all standard operating procedures across staff and vendors. Flag non-compliance, course-correct immediately, and escalate where necessary.
- Staff Accountability — Track attendance, salary, daily task completion, follow up on deliverables, maintain employee records, and support onboarding/offboarding including contract agreements.
- Admin & Store Operations — Oversee invoicing, store upkeep, and day-to-day operational logistics,
- Finance & Compliance — Liaise with auditors on accounts, track expenses and vendor payments, ensure statutory renewals and documentation are current.
- Vendor & Procurement — Manage vendor relationships, procure new vendors, assign and manage contracts, inventory of packaging materials.
- Communication — Strong, structured communication in English is mandatory. Tamil proficiency is preferred. Hindi is highly beneficial, as much of the backend team communication happens in Hindi.
What We're Looking For
- Proven ability to get work done through others — delegation without losing grip.
- Strong follow-up discipline — nothing slips through.
- Solid vendor management and basic finance/audit coordination skills.
- Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace.
- Proactive, deadline-driven, hands-on.
- Four-wheeler ability is a plus (vehicles provided).
Qualifications
- Graduate/PG in Business Administration, Management, or equivalent.
- 5+ years in administration, operations, or mid-level management.
- Retail Fashion industry exposure is a plus.
