Function: Sales & Distribution
Job Purpose
Own and grow Soulflower’s offline and organized retail business across pharmacy, Modern Trade, beauty, lifestyle and other retail formats.
The role will be responsible for expanding accounts such as Apollo, LuLu, Shoppers Stop, 1MG and other key retail chains, increasing store penetration, improving revenue per store, optimizing deployed manpower, and developing distributors and regional channels to support retail growth.
Key Responsibilities
1.Grow Existing Retail Accounts
* Own sales growth across key retail chains and formats.
* Increase number of active stores and doors within existing accounts.
* Improve revenue per store and SKU productivity.
* Expand assortment and secure new product listings.
* Improve availability, visibility, replenishment and in-store execution.
* Identify underperforming stores and implement corrective action.
2. Develop New Retail Business
* Identify and open new pharmacy, Modern Trade, beauty and organized retail accounts.
* Expand Soulflower into new cities, regions and retail formats.
* Negotiate listings, margins, promotions, visibility and commercial terms.
* Build relationships with buyers, category managers and retail decision-makers.
3. Distribution Development
* Identify and appoint distributors required to support retail expansion.
* Build city/region-wise distribution infrastructure.
* Drive primary and secondary sales.
* Monitor distributor stock, fill rates, collections and market coverage.
* Develop surrounding General Trade opportunities wherever they strengthen the retail network.
4. Store Productivity & Execution
* Track store-wise sales, stock, assortment and productivity.
* Improve sales per store and sales per SKU.
* Ensure high availability of priority SKUs.
* Drive merchandising, visibility, sampling, promotions and new launches.
* Conduct regular market and store visits.
5. Manpower Productivity
* Plan and manage Regional managers/beauty Advisors/promoters/field sales manpower.
* Measure revenue per deployed person and ROI on manpower.
* Deploy manpower to the highest-potential stores.
* Set clear store-level and individual sales targets.
* Train and review teams to improve conversion and productivity.
6. Business Management
* Own account-wise targets, forecasts and growth plans.
* Monitor sales, margins, inventory, returns, claims and receivables and keep the accounts reconcile.
* Review account/store performance weekly and identify growth gaps.
* Coordinate with supply chain, marketing, finance and operations for execution.

Candidate Profile
* 5+ years of experience in FMCG, Beauty, Personal Care or Consumer Products.
* Strong experience in Modern Trade / Organized Retail / Pharmacy Retail / Distribution.
* Existing relationships with retail buyers and category teams will be preferred.
* Proven ability to expand store networks and improve store-level productivity.
* Hands-on experience in distributor appointment and management.
* Strong commercial negotiation and analytical skills.
* Must be highly execution-oriented and comfortable spending significant time in the market.
