Role Description The Retail Banker role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ambala. The role involves assisting customers with opening and managing accounts, handling deposits and withdrawals, and providing information about banking products and services. The Retail Banker will respond to customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a high standard of customer experience at the branch. Responsibilities include promoting suitable banking solutions, supporting daily branch operations, maintaining accurate records, and adhering to regulatory and internal compliance guidelines. The role also requires active participation in cross-selling products to meet customer needs while contributing to branch growth targets.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Satisfaction, Customer Experience, and Customer Service.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Knowledge of Deposits and basic retail banking products and processes.
- Attention to detail, numerical aptitude, and ability to work accurately with financial transactions.
- Ability to work on-site in a branch environment, handle multiple tasks, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and banking systems; familiarity with local language(s) is an advantage.
- Graduate degree in any discipline; prior experience in banking or financial services is preferred.
