Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Restaurant Steward/Captain role based in Gurugram, with a salary range of 20,000–30,000 INR per month, depending on experience and skills. The role involves greeting guests, guiding them to their tables, presenting menus, and providing courteous and prompt service throughout their dining experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with kitchen and bar staff, taking and serving orders accurately, ensuring tables are set and cleared according to standards, and maintaining cleanliness in the service area. The Restaurant Steward/Captain supports training of junior staff, helps manage reservations and guest flow, and addresses guest queries or concerns professionally. The role also includes following safety and hygiene protocols, adhering to restaurant policies, and contributing to a positive team environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Food Service skills to ensure a high-quality, guest-focused dining experience.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management.
- Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including menu items, basic service standards, and hygiene practices.
- Candidates should possess Training capabilities to support onboarding and skill development of new team members and junior staff.
- Relevant experience in restaurant or hotel operations, preferably in a steward, captain, or similar role.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by restaurant operations.
- High level of personal grooming, punctuality, and professional behavior in front-of-house environments.
- Basic educational qualification in hospitality or a related field is an advantage, though candidates with strong practical experience will also be considered.
