Role Description The Restaurant Cost Controller role at Tall Oaks is a part time and on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for monitoring and analyzing food, beverage / bar, and operational costs to support profitability and efficient resource use. Day-to-day tasks include tracking inventory levels, reviewing purchase orders and vendor invoices, performing cost variance analysis, and preparing regular cost reports for management. The Restaurant Cost Controller collaborates with the kitchen, bar, and operations teams to set and review menu pricing, control waste, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising guest experience. The role also involves maintaining accurate cost records, ensuring compliance with internal policies, and providing data-driven insights to support budgeting and forecasting.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Cost Control and Cost Management to oversee restaurant expenses and optimize profitability.
- Proficiency in Cost Accounting and Finance to analyze cost structures and support budgeting and forecasting.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Experience with restaurant or hospitality operations, inventory management, and vendor coordination.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate findings clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional certifications in cost or management accounting are an advantage.
- Competence with spreadsheets and restaurant management or POS systems for data tracking and reporting.
