PRODUCT DESIGNER (FEMALE) HARDGOODS AND HANDICRAFT

We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Designer to join our dynamic team in the Export House sector, specializing in handicrafts and hardgoods. As a Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in creating innovative and aesthetically appealing designs that meet both market demands and our client specifications. Key Responsibilities: Conceptualize and design products in the handicrafts and hardgoods category, ensuring functionality, aesthetics, and quality. Work closely with production teams to ensure designs are feasible for mass production and comply with cost, material, and manufacturing constraints. Develop detailed design sketches, CAD drawings, and prototypes for new products. Stay up to date with market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products to create unique and market-leading designs. Collaborate with the sourcing team to choose the right materials, ensuring durability, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. Communicate with clients to understand their design requirements and offer customized solutions. Ensure designs are compliant with international export standards and regulations. Participate in product testing, quality assurance, and post-production evaluations. Maintain a repository of design files, reference materials, and prototypes. Qualifications: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field. 4-5 years of hands-on experience in designing hardgoods, handicrafts, or similar products. Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Rhino. Strong understanding of materials, production processes, and manufacturing techniques relevant to handicrafts and hardgoods. Creative, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing aesthetics with functionality. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and clients. Familiarity with the export and international trade process will be a plus. Preferred Skills: Previous experience working with export houses or on international markets. Knowledge of sustainable design practices and eco-friendly materials. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and client expectations.
