About the role

Resource Innovations is seeking an Energy Program Analyst or Energy Engineer to join our growing team in Louisville, Colorado. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in electrical and mechanical building systems to join our team.  This is an entry‑ to mid‑level role ideal for candidates early in their energy efficiency or engineering career.

As an Energy Program Analyst or Energy Engineer, you will ensure that high-performance building designs are accurately translated from engineering intent into real-world construction by reviewing drawings and verifying installations in the field. By identifying discrepancies early and confirming system performance after construction, you will help safeguard energy savings and program integrity. You will also work directly with building owners and design teams to strengthen project outcomes through practical, efficiency-focused recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Design Review & Quality Assurance (Design Assistance Program)

  • Review construction drawings and submittals to verify that energy-efficient design features are accurately represented
  • Compare design intent to program requirements and identify gaps or inconsistencies
  • Document findings clearly for internal teams and clients

Field Verification & Site Inspections

  • Visit project sites to verify that installed systems match approved designs
  • Confirm that high-performance features are installed and operational
  • Take field notes, photos, and coordinate with contractors and project teams

Customer Support & Design Input (Efficient Building Program)

  • Meet with building owners, developers, and design teams
  • Identify opportunities to improve building performance
  • Provide practical, buildable recommendations based on real-world construction knowledge
  • Verify completed projects align with agreed-upon scope
