Job Opening: Residential Psychiatric Counsellor – De-Addiction Rehabilitation Centre
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Residential Psychiatric Counsellor to join our De-Addiction Rehabilitation Centre.
Position: Residential Psychiatric Counsellor Location:MADURAI/ VIRUDHUNAGAR
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and group counselling sessions for clients undergoing de-addiction treatment.
Assess clients' psychological and emotional needs and develop appropriate care plans.
Provide crisis intervention and emotional support throughout the recovery process.
Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, medical officers, and the multidisciplinary team.
Maintain accurate clinical records and progress notes.
Educate clients and their families on addiction, relapse prevention, and recovery strategies.
Support rehabilitation activities and promote a therapeutic environment.
Educational Qualifications:
MSW (Master of Social Work), M.A./M.Sc. Psychology, Master's in Counselling, or an equivalent postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
Experience in psychiatric counselling, mental health, or de-addiction rehabilitation is preferred.
Skills:
Strong communication and counselling skills.
Empathy, patience, and active listening.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Good documentation and case management skills.
