Role Description The Resident Vigilance Officer is a full-time, on-site role based at Woxsen University’s campus in Hyderabad. The position is responsible for overseeing campus vigilance activities, ensuring adherence to institutional rules, and helping maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for students, faculty, and staff. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring campus premises, identifying and reporting potential risks or policy violations, coordinating with security and administrative teams, and supporting preventive measures against misconduct. The Resident Vigilance Officer will document incidents, maintain accurate records, and provide timely reports to university leadership. The role also involves engaging with campus stakeholders, raising awareness about code of conduct, and assisting in the implementation of compliance and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in supervision, vigilance, and incident reporting within an academic, corporate, or residential setting.
- Strong abilities in communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal interaction, with a focus on impartial and respectful engagement.
- Competence in record-keeping, documentation, and basic use of office software for reporting and data management.
- Knowledge of safety, security, and compliance practices relevant to educational institutions or similar environments.
- Ability to work on-site in Hyderabad, including flexible hours as required for campus vigilance needs.
- Proven capacity to handle sensitive situations discreetly and maintain confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Educational background in security management, administration, law, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in vigilance, campus security, or related roles will be considered an advantage.
