Role & responsibilities
Provide medical care to inpatients across various specialties Conduct daily ward rounds and monitor patient progress Manage medical emergencies and provide first-line treatment Assist consultants during procedures, surgeries, and clinical rounds Initiate investigations and prescribe medications as per protocols Coordinate referrals between departments when required
Handle emergency cases during duty hours and night shifts Ensure smooth clinical handover between shifts Respond promptly to code blue and emergency calls
Maintain accurate patient records, case sheets, and progress notes
Coordinate with nursing staff, ICU teams, diagnostic departments, and allied services Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives Adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols Report adverse events and participate in corrective actions Support continuous improvement in clinical care standards
