About Outline India
Outline India is a boutique research and data organization. We collect intelligence from the grassroots — running field surveys, impact evaluations, and policy research across India and South Asia, working with clients like the World Bank, UNDP, Mastercard, Google, and GSMA. We're a growing team that operates at scale: designing studies, deploying field teams, and turning ground-level data into analysis that informs decisions at the highest levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Preparing research proposals (working on the method and sampling, both quantitative and qualitative for monitoring and evaluation, impact assessment studies).
● Secondary research for projects and proposals.
● Literature review, design, and pilot survey instruments and tools. Review of survey tools received from clients and translation of the same.
● Assist the research team in developing training material for the field team.
● Developing budgets for research projects.
● Field mapping, planning, training, and execution.
● Traveling to the field to conduct training, fieldwork monitoring, interviews, focus group discussions, etc. as required.
● Collaborate and contribute to the company's new research projects/ ideas.
● Qualitative data analysis and report writing.
● Attending conferences, talks, writing blogs, and papers.
● Liaising with the Company’s current and potential clients.
● Provide logistical support to the team as and when required.
Offered CTC - Between INR 50,000 - INR 70,000 based on skills and experience
Job Type - Contractual ( 5 months contract)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Essential:
● A Postgraduate/ Graduate Degree in social work, public policy or from a relevant discipline.
● At least 5+ years of professional/research work experience within M&E in project-based settings.
● Strong Microsoft skills (Word and Excel).
● Familiarity with one or more Indian languages. (Kannada/Telugu etc.)
● Experience with qualitative research including ethnographic methods, PRA techniques, reflexive analysis, and report writing, and other relevant methodologies.
● Strong written and oral communication skills.
● Some familiarity with quantitative research and mixed-method study design.
