Supporting the evidence behind better care for motherless mothers
Why this role matters
At TMM, we believe change is strongest when it’s informed by both evidence and lived experience.
Our research helps us understand the real needs of motherless mothers, highlight gaps in support, and strengthen our advocacy with healthcare professionals, policymakers, and partner organisations.
We’re looking for volunteers who can support our research team with practical, thoughtful tasks that help projects run smoothly and ensure valuable insights are captured, organised, and shared with care.
What You’ll Do
Depending on the project and your interests, you may support with:
- Literature reviews and background research
- Gathering and organising information from reports, articles, and publications
- Data entry and record‐keeping
- Supporting surveys, interviews, or consultation activities
- Organising research documents and resources
- Helping prepare summaries, briefing papers, or presentations
- Providing light administrative support to the research team
- Outreach to NHS Trusts, GP practices, and Social Prescribers
- Helping create clear, informative materials and awareness campaigns
What You’ll Bring
- An interest in research, healthcare, bereavement, estrangement, dementia, or social impact
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Comfort working carefully with information and documentation
- Confidence using basic digital tools and online research
- A thoughtful, reliable, human approach
- No previous research experience is required — curiosity, care, and a willingness to learn are just as valuable.
