About Jetri

Jetri is a new-age education consulting and strategic implementation firm working at the frontier of institutional change in India. Our mandate is simple and ambitious: to build—and rebuild—the institutions that will educate India’s next 100 million learners.

From designing a block-teaching model for a premier B-School to shaping a values-driven K–12 education system, our work spans conception to execution. We don’t just advise. We design, test, and help scale ideas that meaningfully move Indian education forward.

If you enjoy making sense of complexity, spotting patterns before they’re obvious, and shaping the thinking that underpins large institutional decisions, you’ll find this role deeply engaging.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Synthesize intelligence: Produce crisp, bi-weekly research wraps on education, higher education, public policy, and adjacent domains for Jetri’s leadership and project teams
  • Build institutional memory: Curate and maintain high-quality research repositories—benchmarks, frameworks, datasets, reports, and reference decks that power our work
  • Track the discourse: Monitor and analyse education narratives across LinkedIn, X, reports, and thought leadership to surface emerging trends and shifts in thinking
  • Deep-dive the sector: Research India’s higher education ecosystem—institutions, reforms, rankings, operating models, and experiments shaping what comes next

This is a thinking and writing role. Your work will shape how we see the sector and where we place our bets. The quality of our thinking shapes the quality of institutions we help build, and this role sits at the source of that thinking.

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll work closely with a cross-functional group of ex-McKinsey partners, education founders, researchers, administrators, and curriculum designers. We take ideas seriously, but not ourselves. Expect learning-heavy stand-ups, Jetri Fridays with leading voices in education, and lunch conversations that begin with “Have you read this?” and end with “We should test this.”

You’re a Strong Fit If
  • You care deeply about education in India—especially higher education—and follow the sector beyond headlines
  • You enjoy desk research, synthesis, and turning scattered information into clear, structured insight
  • You’re organised, dependable, and take quiet pride in building systems others come to rely on
  • You write cleanly, think analytically, and are comfortable forming a point of view
  • You enjoy sharing insights, data points and trends with colleagues and clients
Our Culture & Values
  • Learning-Obsessed: Research isn’t a task; it’s how we operate
  • Curious by Default: No sacred cows - ask why, ask again, then put to action.
  • Ownership DNA: Spot a problem? It’s yours until it’s solved.
  • Idea-First Collaboration: Great ideas > job titles - always.
  • Amplify Others: Your success is measured by the people you lift.
How to Apply

Deadline: 20 February 2026

Share your CV and creative answers (video, voice note, or 300-word essay) to all three prompts below via this form.

  1. If someone asked you, “What does good research look like?”, which examples would you point them to, and why?
  2. You have one week to understand a new education issue from scratch. How do you approach this, and what do you produce at the end of the week?
  3. If you had to call out one piece of lazy thinking in Indian higher education today, what would it be?
