Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Research Intern role based in Noida. The Research Intern will support episode and content development by conducting structured research on defense, diplomacy, national security, and geopolitical issues, with a focus on India. Daily responsibilities include gathering and synthesizing information from credible sources, preparing briefings and background notes for interviews, and creating research summaries, timelines, and data sheets for internal use. The intern will assist in drafting talking points, supporting scripts, and reference materials, as well as maintaining organized research archives and tracking ongoing global developments relevant to Borders&Beyond’s themes. The role may also involve basic assistance with content planning, fact-checking, and coordination with production or editorial teams as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong research and analytical abilities, including experience with academic, policy, and media sources.
- Clear written communication skills for preparing briefs, summaries, and structured notes.
- Demonstrated interest in international relations, strategic studies, public policy, history, or related fields.
- Ability to verify information, cross-check facts, and maintain high standards of accuracy and neutrality.
- Organizational skills for managing documents, references, and research databases efficiently.
- Comfort working with digital tools for research, documentation, and collaboration.
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Political Science, International Relations, Defense Studies, History, Journalism, or a related discipline.
- Capacity to work on-site in Noida, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and handle sensitive topics responsibly.
- Prior exposure to research projects, think tanks, media, or policy work is an advantage.
