We are looking for the following position for our SDL Department
Designation: Research Engineer – 05 No. (ARAI Contract) (SDL)
Location: Kothrud, Pune.
Candidate should have Diploma/bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Instrumentation, Electronics or Automobile Engineering with related field experience of 1 to 5 years* (* This can be relaxed in case of deserving candidates having direct relevant experience) as testing Engineer in Automobile Domain

Job Description:
We are seeking skilled engineers in the field of
- components, subsystem and aggregate testing.
- RLDA/SLDA field testing
- Interior/Exterior/Seat DVP
- Vehicle level DVP
- Seat Certification testing
Key common responsibilities:
Project execution:
- Read and interpret test procedures/SOPs/standards/protocols, understanding the instrumentation, coordinate with customer
- Data validation, analysis and test result compilation with report preparation
- Run the shifts and ensure tests running in shifts
- Follow 5S systems, ISO, EOHS practices
Project Management:
- Complete timeline preparation, tracking and monitoring of all the projects activities
- Identification of the critical areas, risk assessments and solution-oriented approach.
- Following all documentation and process requirements
Domain specific requirements.
Components, subsystem and aggregate testing.
- Design concept and test methodology for the component testing, design required fixture
- Hands-on Experience in assembly, disassembly, Adaptations and repair/maintenance for different automobile systems
- Hands-on experience of test setups for laboratory structural performance and durability tests
- Experience in handling Servo-hydraulic and pneumatic test systems, test components to fixture adaptations with actuators, etc.
- Perform tests setup with the identified constraints, Test execution and report preparation
RLDA/SLDA field testing
- Perform instrumentation of vehicles using sensors such as Wheel Force Transducers, Accelerometers, Strain Gauges, LVDTs, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, flow sensors, telemetry systems, and Vehicle CAN bus.
- Prepare test vehicles for data acquisition activities.
- Preferably understanding required for analysis field data in terms of statistical, spectral, and fatigue parameters using nCode GlyphWorks software.
- Evaluate vehicle performance, including vehicle dynamics, durability, and both subjective and objective analysis.
- Perform vehicle benchmarking.
Interior/Exterior/Seat DVP
- Read and interpret test procedures/SOPs/standards/protocols, build test setups by operating the servo-hydraulic, electric or pneumatic actuators, controllers, load cells, LVDTs and other sensors and execute the test as per standards/SOPs
- Conceptualising and building test rigs required for the testing components as per various standards.
- Understanding of various standards/regulations related to other sectors such as railways.
- Data validation, analysis & test result compilation for the report preparation
Vehicle level DVP
- Good proficiency in using data analysis softwares like nCode Glyphworks, alongwith analysis programming softwares like Matlab, Python and advanced Excel
- Hands-on experience of Road load data analysis, fatigue analysis, customer correlation, vehicle dynamics analysis as well as for on-field execution of vehicle performance validation tests, DVP, RLDA
- Knowledge of data acquisition systems alongwith Experience in handling instrumentation of vehicles for accelerations, temperature, pressure, flow, etc.
- Understanding of various DVP test standards/regulations, vehicle benchmarking
- Good understanding of vehicle & related systems for data interpretation & report
- preparation
Seat Certification testing
- Read and interpret test procedures/SOPs/standards/protocols, build test setups by operating the servo-hydraulic, electric or pneumatic actuators, controllers, load cells, LVDTs and other sensors and execute the test as per standards/SOPs
- Execution of tests as per various standards/regulations
- Data validation, analysis & test result compilation for the report preparation
Note for Contract Position: ARAI Contract for 01-year, Contract will be extended but it depends upon candidate performance.
