Role Overview
Opportunity for a Research Engineer specializing in AI and Machine Learning to build, deploy, and optimize ML-powered systems used by real users.
The role involves working across the entire machine learning lifecycle, from model development and experimentation to deployment, optimization, and monitoring in production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy ML-powered applications used in real-world production environments
- Design and manage end-to-end ML pipelines, including data preparation, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring
- Optimize model performance and inference pipelines, particularly in GPU environments
- Build and maintain LLM-based systems, vector databases, and RAG pipelines
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate ML solutions into products
- Develop scalable and reliable ML infrastructure
Mandatory Skills
- Strong Python programming skills
- Expertise in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Experience building end-to-end ML pipelines
- Hands-on experience deploying ML-powered products to real users
- Strong fundamentals in statistics, experimentation, and model evaluation
MLOps & Infrastructure
- Experience with MLOps tools such as MLflow, Weights & Biases, DVC, Airflow, or Prefect
- Knowledge of containerized deployments using Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for ML systems
Advanced AI / ML Experience
- Experience optimizing GPU inference workloads using ONNX, TensorRT, mixed precision, or batching
- Familiarity with vector databases and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
- Experience with LLM fine-tuning techniques such as LoRA or QLoRA
Observability & Monitoring
- Exposure to observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry
- Experience implementing production monitoring, logging, and metrics for ML systems
