Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Research Engineer (Structural Engineering) with a background in cold-formed steel structures to support design, analysis, and research activities. The candidate will be responsible for structural modeling, theoretical calculations, and performance evaluation of steel building systems, including wall and ceiling load analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and modeling using ANSYS, and ABAQUS
- Analyze and design cold-formed steel (CFS) systems
- Analysis of CFS based Non-Structural elements such as partitions and ceilings
- Develop analytical and numerical models for steel building systems and subsystems
- Evaluate different types of structural connections
- Perform theoretical calculations using beam theory and structural mechanics
- Ensure compliance with ASTM and British Standards (BS)
- Support R&D initiatives for lightweight steel structures
- Prepare technical reports and documentation
- Collaborate with research engineers and cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications
- M.Tech in Structural Engineering
- 1–2 years of relevant experience
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of structural mechanics and steel design
- Knowledge of cold-formed steel behavior
- Experience with ANSYS / ABAQUS
- Familiarity with ASTM / BS codes
- Knowledge of steel building systems and connections
- Ability to perform structural analysis using first principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cold-formed steel design
- Exposure to Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Experience in building materials industry
- Knowledge of Indian Standards (IS codes)
