Company Description BMS Institute of Technology and Management (BMSIT&M) is a leading private engineering college located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, and is part of the renowned BMS group of institutions. Established in 2002, it is a sister institution of BMS College of Engineering, one of India’s oldest private engineering colleges.
Role Description The Research Associate/Postdoc will work under my ongoing DST-AISTDF research project within the institute. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and conducting experiments, performing data collection and analysis, preparing research reports and manuscripts, and supporting grant proposals and documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role based at BMSIT&M in Bengaluru.
Qualifications
# Strong research skills in ionic liquids, adsorption, materials chemistry, and environmental remediation.
# Experience in experimental design, material characterisation, and chemical safety.
# Experience in synthesis and characterization of ionic liquids, adsorbents, or functionalized microsorbents is desirable.
# Knowledge of oil spill remediation, adsorption studies, and sustainable environmental technologies is preferred.
# Good scientific writing, communication, presentation, and research documentation skills.
# PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline; publications are an advantage.
# Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and meet project milestones effectively.
